Achieving Net Zero with the Nature Market

About Us
Tiger Standard protocols developed through Pilot Projects

The Tiger Standard Team has worked over two decades developing a bouquet of Climate, Community, and Biodiversity driven Pilot Projects in the Western Ghats of India from the year 2000.

Pilot Projects protocols initiated and developed by the Tiger Standard Team

Carbon Sinks developed in plantation forest buffer zones leading to :
  • Reforestation on 200 acres of degraded coffee plantation included removal of invasive weeds from forest floor, cleanup & re-generation of underground springs, enrichment plantation of indigenous species and enabling the return of natural forest and biodiversity.
  • Conservation and enabling ecological environment & wildlife corridors for endangered wildlife species – the Indian Tiger, several troops of the Lion-Tailed Macaque, Asian Elephant, Malabar Grey Hornbill & many other threatened species.
  • Direct sustainable employment to 30 people and indirect employment to 150 others in two remote rural locations.
  • Carbon offset credit pre-feasibility carbon evaluation report of the project site was established by a European UNFCCC recognized third party forestry science evaluator from GERES using both onsite ground studies and satellite analysis.
  • Independent scientific species studies also done by Indian forestry scientists based on Indicator Species methodology of avian, mammal, amphibian and horticultural populations establishing ecological values achieved.
